The Student Council provides students in grades 3-6 an opportunity to participate in and practice leadership and responsible decision-making. Officers and classroom representatives are nominated by their peers to be on the Student Council. Only students in Grades 5 and 6 shall be elected as Student Council Officers. If elected, students will be expected to meet during lunch time, and possible outside of school and/or for weekend activities.
The Student Council plays a very important role in every school. They help share students’ ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers and principal. They help the students raise funds for school wide projects. They assist the community when they are in need of aid. Being on Student Council is something that will help our students become responsible and active members of the community. Please review the rules and qualifications and return the parent permission slip and application by the indicated deadline.
