Has anyone seen a violin in a blue case, last seen outside the auditorium a week ago? We had hoped it would show up today, but so far no luck. Please let the office know if you have any information – we have a violin student very eager to recover their instrument.

Shrek is Coming
We have been waiting for years and finally it's here, this year's spring musical is the highly anticipated story of SHREK. Yeah!!! Shrek Jr. is a family-friendly comedy that follows the adventures of an ogre named Shrek who sets off on a quest to save a princess from a dragon; however, it turns out that in order to ultimately succeed, Shrek must battle different obstacles, including learning how to believe in himself.
Unlike previous years' plays, this one has lots of characters with speaking roles. Does your child like to perform? Sing, dance or act? Our school is known for its amazing plays. This is a great opportunity for your child to come out and have a fun theatre experience. Auditions are coming at the end of October and the full rehearsal schedule begins after the winter break. Registration is now open. You can find all parent information, registration materials, audition information etc. on our play website: https://shrektopangaelementary.shutterfly.com
If you have any trouble with the website please contact Debra Shier or Lisa Ward.
The Original Works fundraiser has begun. Teachers have started your child’s artwork in the classroom. Parents will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of products featuring your child’s very own artwork. Original Works parent packets will be sent home by October 19th along with ordering and pricing information. The deadline for ordering and payment return will be Wednesday, October 28.
The Halloween Carnival at the Topanga Community House
You can save five dollars on the price of a ticket to the big Halloween Carnival at the TCC by ordering online this weekend. The Carnival is now only two weeks away, and I’m hearing that it may be the grandest, most activity-filled carnival ever. The place to get those tickets online is www.topangaelementary.org/halloween-carnival.html
