It was wonderful to see so many Topanga families on Sunday as we gathered together to show our support for Amy Weisberg and her family as they cope with their loss.
Ms. Weisberg will be returning on Monday to her TK classroom, where she has been sorely missed. She has expressed her deepest appreciation for everything this community has done for her. She wanted me to let everyone know that when she comes back to school on Monday, she intends to focus on her class and their routine. Even a well-meaning hug might bring tears – so let’s all give Ms. Weisberg the space she needs here at the school that loves and appreciates her.
This morning, Jill Elizabeth reminded us that tomorrow is the last “Heal the Bay” event of the school year. On Saturday, everyone will meet at Topanga Beach at 10:00. You can turn in your liability form (or they have blank ones online or at the beach). Thanks for taking care of our ocean!

The Topanga Yearbook Needs You!
Calling all Topanga Elementary Families! The Yearbook team is looking for a few (not all) of your best and most beautiful memories captured this year on your phone / camera.
Do you have a great shot or two from the Holiday Show, Jump Rope for Heart, California Days, Colonial Days, Little / Big Buddies, Class events, or other time at school this past year? Please send them to us!
A super easy way to do this is to download the wetransfer app on your phone and simply send them to email@example.com.
We really appreciate your help with this and know that there are hidden treasures of photographic art and beautiful memories on your phone - please share them so the kids can treasure them forever!

Yard Sale at Topanga Center
We are happy to announce the Topanga School Yard sale, happening Saturday May 7th at The Topanga Center, next to the Topanga Market. Mr. Moon has kindly offered his parking lot for us to host our sale, at no cost, (so thank him when you see him). This is a way to raise some much needed funds for the Class Size Reduction teacher (CSR), and it won't cost you a thing!
All I need is stuff you want to get rid of, declutter and hand it over, most of us don't have the time to do our own yard sale, but have stuff we could shed, and now is your chance! Instead of Goodwill donate it to the school this time. We want books, clothes, furniture, home goods, toys, etc. You can drop off at the school, I will get a bin set up, but if it is large items you can email or text me and I will pick straight up from school, or you can drop off at my house (765 Robinson Road) or at the center at The Language Magazine office and Spanish school, opposite the Vet and next door but one to the Messenger and California Art and Tile (131 S. TCB).
Next I need a couple of key volunteers to help me collect, organize, price and advertise the sale. And on Saturday morning I will need some volunteers to man the tables and sell, kids can help but we need one parent to be in charge of taking the money at each station. Depending on how much stuff we have will dictate how many volunteers on the day.
THIS SALE IS THE WEEKEND AFTER NEXT SO DON’T WAIT, DONATE YOUR ITEMS NOW PLEASE.
Thank you all for your support
Have a Great Weekend,
Mr. Steve Gediman, Principal
