Yard Sale at Topanga Center
We are happy to announce the Topanga School Yard sale, happening Saturday May 7th at The Topanga Center, next to the Topanga Market. Mr. Moon has kindly offered his parking lot for us to host our sale, at no cost, (so thank him when you see him). This is a way to raise some much needed funds for the Class Size Reduction teacher (CSR), and it won't cost you a thing!
All I need is stuff you want to get rid of, declutter and hand it over, most of us don't have the time to do our own yard sale, but have stuff we could shed, and now is your chance! Instead of Goodwill donate it to the school this time. We want books, clothes, furniture, home goods, toys, etc. You can drop off at the school, I will get a bin set up, but if it is large items you can email or text me and I will pick straight up from school, or you can drop off at my house (765 Robinson Road) or at the center at The Language Magazine office and Spanish school, opposite the Vet and next door to the Messenger and California Art and Tile (131 S. TCB).
Next I need a couple of key volunteers to help me collect, organize, price and advertise the sale. On Saturday morning I will need some volunteers to man the tables and sell, kids can help but we need one parent to be in charge of taking the money at each station. Depending on how much stuff we have will dictate how many volunteers on the day.
THIS SALE IS THIS WEEKEND SO DON’T WAIT, DONATE YOUR ITEMS NOW PLEASE.
Thank you all for your support
Celebration Honoring Grandmother Oak (from Rosi Dagit)
I am hoping you can pass along to your students the information about the ceremony to honor Grandmother Oak the Saturday before Mother’s Day. Sadly, the drought has taken a huge toll and she is not appearing to recover. Many of your students have fond memories of standing inside her trunk, experiencing the magic of being inside a living tree. Not sure how much longer she will stand, and so we have organized this effort.
We will meet at Grandmother Oak on the Trippet Ranch Fire Road from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. If you’re not sure where to go, meet at the Nature Center at 4:15 to hike up.
Have a Great, Safe Weekend – and a Happy Mother’s Day!,
Mr. Steve Gediman, Principal
