Traffic Duty for the Week: Ms. Winikoff’s Class
Spring is in the air (even though it’s still winter), so remember to spring forward an hour on Sunday.
The warmer weather is appreciated not just by our students, but by those pesky head lice. Please remember to check your child’s hair often, and inform the office right away of any signs. We can also lower our rates of transmission by reminding our students not to share hats or backpacks (they could be on the straps), and remember to keep our hands, feet and hair to ourselves. We will continue to remind them here at school – if they hear it at home, all the better.
Traffic seems to be getting worse every month. Our best advice for making sure you arrive safely and on time to school is to leave early. Most of us are rushed and overwhelmed in the morning, but setting aside extra time for the inevitable traffic is a good habit to have.
Spring also means spring cleaning – so take a good look at our vast collection of lost jackets, sweaters and other fine items of clothing. Maybe something belongs to you!
The Lion King is Almost Here!
Tickets are on sale now for Topanga Elementary Theater Art’s production of “The Lion King.”
The African savannah comes to life on stage with Simba, Rafiki and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle... and back again, in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.
All performances will take place at AC Stelle Middle School in Calabasas March 16-18. Both evening and matinee shows are available.

School Safety Meeting
I will be holding a meeting on Monday, March 12th at 6:00 pm in Room 14 (the teacher’s lounge) to discuss our safe school plan, and what we have planned for the future to make our campus even more secure. It’s the night of the TEP meeting (7:00 pm in Room 14), so parents can attend both meetings if they choose.
All parents are invited to attend. We will also be discussing what sort of activities we are planning for students who want to safely express their concerns on March 14th.
