The spotlight fell on 4th Grade this morning as I thanked them for their persistence and effort on the SBAC test they were taking this week. While this is only one test (and it does not affect their class grades), scoring high on the test can only help our students and our school.
Next week it’s 5th Grade’s turn. Parents can help by making sure your child gets plenty of rest, a good breakfast, and lots of encouragement. We don’t want anyone to be stressed or anxious about the test – but we do want everyone to try their best, which they can only do if they feel their best.
Just a reminder – all visitors on campus must come to the office first before visiting a classroom. In the office we will ask you to sign in, take a visitor sticker to wear (if you do not have a volunteer badge) and we may have to call the classroom before sending you to the room. Please be patient with our office staff as we take these steps to ensure that our campus is safe and secure.
I know that many of our families take the trails to and from school. Now that it’s getting hotter, our baby oak trees near the trails could use a drink of water. Ms. Benor has marked each one with orange flagging tape and they are protected with a mesh screen. If you come across one and have water to spare, please share with the baby oaks. Thanks!
The Science Fair is Coming! (in three weeks)

Thursday, May 4th is the last day to register for the Science Fair if you are in Grades 3-5 and would like to enter the competition. There will be more time for students who are entering for participation only – but all who are interested should visit the site today!
