If you attended one of our two holiday performances today, you already know what a great job our students did singing, dancing and acting their way into our hearts. We had a full house for each showing – thank you all so much for your attendance and support, and the teachers and aides did a fantastic job working with our students to bring out their talents for all of us to see.
I also want to thank all the parents and family members who had kind words for me and the school. I certainly feel appreciated, and very fortunate to be here at Topanga Elementary Charter – the greatest elementary school in the world! I hope everyone has a happy and healthy three week break, filled with family and friends. We’ll see you next year (2017 that is).

Topanga Elementary Charter School in the News
Did you pick up a copy of the new LA Weekly with a story about our school participating in P-22 Day? If you haven’t seen it yet, click on the following link:
The best part is when Beth Pratt says that her most memorable stop was here at Topanga Elementary.
We’re also going to be on TV – Ms. Welch’s 3rd grade class was on a science hike (led by Ms. Benor, our science teacher) when they encountered a film crew following the Backbone Trail.
Now they’re going to be part of a KCET documentary that will air soon – when they give me the date, I’ll pass it along. Topanga Elementary’s outdoor science program is certainly on the move!
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Good Kwanzaa and Happy New Year,
Mr. Steve Gediman, Principal
